Beginner Tai Chi- Walking and Forms - Ages 50 and up. Practicing Tai Chi Walking is great exercise to improve balance, strength, and mental health. This class will focus on Tai Chi walking and the fundamentals of Tai Chi and it's forms, allowing you more repetition and practice of the movements. No experience is necessary. If you are looking for additional Tai Chi practice, the Wednesday class will cover the Yang Style short form 8 and the 24 form.
Tai Chi - Beginner and Intermediate - Ages 50 and up. Tai Chi will get you back on your feet and moving! Yang style is one of the most popular of Tai Chi forms and it consists of 24 slow, continuous, soft, and circular movements in a flowing form. Whether you are new to Tai Chi or would like to sharpen your skills, you will enjoy a relaxing afternoon of movement. No experience is necessary.
Tai Chi - Advanced - Ages 50 and up. For students who have taken the beginner/intermediate class and are comfortable with the 24 movements. This class will break down the 24 forms of Yang style and dig into the details of movements. Students will get the opportunity to explore different aspects like alternate movements, building strength, self-awareness and more. Come explore the possibilities that this meditative martial art can open up for us.
